Caitlyn & Gracie's ePublisher process

Caitlyn H. & Gracie W.: Our digital product we created for online judging is E-Publishing. We read the E-Publishing product’s rubric. Our plan for creating this guide was using the Journal Notes we took in class from chapter 9 of our social studies textbook History Alive. We decided to work on this product in early December at the computer lab in Allen County Intermediate Center (A.C.I.C). We created the Social Studies study guide to help our fellow classmates and Ms. York’s students study for the upcoming “Comparing Life in the Colonies” test. The first step was reading information in Chapter 9 of the History Alive book. The second step was to decide what the important information was in the chapter and write our thoughts in our personal notebooks. The third step, our entire class worked together to decide what the most important information was in the chapter and then to edit our notebooks and write that information in our personal journals. The fourth step was to reread and edit any mistakes and make sure the E-Publishing notes had all the important information that we needed. The fifth step was to get the notes that we created on to E-Publishing. The sixth step was to find and add some pictures to make it more understandable. The seventh step was to get Mr. Simon to link our project’s webpage to his webpage so the students could access it if they forgot to take home their social studies journal. They could easily access it at home and study the Social Studies study guide for the upcoming “Comparing Life in the Colonies”.
