Mrs. Stephens’ Policies on ACADEMICS

o  Homework is to be complete (in PENCIL) and placed on the corner of your desk at the beginning of class on the day it is due.

o  If you have questions about homework, ASK.

§ Don’t be afraid to ask in class… you are in math class only a small part of your day! You may come ask questions during 7thperiod study hall if permission is granted from your teacher.

§ It is important that you have good homework habits – your success depends on it!

 Ø GRADES

o  TESTS- Your Content Grade will be determined by the scores obtained from tests, open responses, Cumulative / Computation Reviews, and other summative assessments.

o  CLASSWORK- Your Participation Grade will be determined by your homework habits, participation in class, and completion of your daily warm-ups.

o  QUIZZES AND OTHER FORMATIVE ASSESSMENTS – Your quizzes and various other assessment tools are a way for me to monitor your progress and place you into flexible learning groups. These will be given quite often and are no fault assessments – which means that they will neither help nor hurt your grade. They simply will allow me to view where you are and what content may need further attention.
