I am Lisa Williams, mother of three sons, and teacher of English 11, AP Language and Composition/Dual Credit English, and Yearbook.  I have also taught journalism, broadcasting, drama, English 9, English 10, English 12, Oral Communications, and numerous summer classes through WKU's Center for Gifted Studies.

I have a B.A. in English and Secondary Education from University of the Cumberlands; I have a M.Ed. in Secondary Guidance from Western Kentucky University, and I am a National Board Certified Teacher.  I am currently working toward my MA in English Composition and Rhetoric at WKU.  I anticipate graduation in May 2019.

I have been published on a freelance basis in my local newspaper, The Citizen Times, I have published a personal essay in Chicken Soup for the Soul: Children with Special Needs, and I have published three poems in a book titled Reflect and Write.  I have also published poetry in Zephyrus, a literary magazine published by WKU, and two poems in a book titled, Kentucky's Best Emerging Poets.

I am excited about the coming school year, and I am honored to serve as your instructor. Please connect with my Google Classroom pages and with my Remind account to stay updated on the latest assignments and announcements.  Please fee free to contact me via email (lisa.williams@allen.kyschools.us) any time you have questions.  I check it regularly, even in the summer months.
