The Allen County-Scottsville Lady Patriots will play 12 regular season
home games, 12 away games, appear in one showcase event, participate in the
second annual 2A Championships, and host the annual South Central Bank/Halton
Classic during the 2019-20 basketball season.
AC-S opens the season on Tuesday, December 3 at South Warren. The Lady
Patriots then travel to Bowling Green High School to face Greenwood in the
second annual State Farm 14th vs. 15th District Challenge on Saturday, December
7. The second week of the season will see AC-S start action in the 2A
Challenge, hosting Adair County on Tuesday, December 10. The week also includes
a Thursday game at Greenwood and a Friday home contest with Cumberland County.
The following week will have AC-S traveling to Warren East on Tuesday, December
17 before opening District 15 play at home verses Barren County on December 20.
The annual SCBHC will follow as the Lady Patriots are scheduled to play
three games in the event, one game per day on December 27, 28, and 29. AC-S
will immediately turn around for a fourth consecutive game---a home contest
against Russell County on Monday, December 30.
The first full week of the 2020 calendar year will be potentially full
of action. If AC-S defeats Adair County in the opening round of the 2A Championships
in December, the Lady Patriots will play on Monday, January 6 at Warren
Central. A win on Monday will advance the Lady Patriots to the 2A Championships
regional title contest to be played at Franklin-Simpson on Saturday, January
11. Sandwiched between the possible 2A games will be District 15 match-ups at
Patriot Gym---Glasgow on January 7 and Monroe County on January 10.
The Lady Patriots follow with a road trip to Franklin-Simpson on January
14 and a visit to Westmoreland (TN) on January 17. However, should AC-S win the
2A Region, the 2A Championship tournament will be the same weekend in
Owensboro.
AC-S is slated for another busy week to follow. Games at Butler County
and at home verses Edmonson County will be followed by a road game at Barren
County on January 24. The following week will see home contests with Greenwood
and Clinton County---with the January 31 Clinton County game designated as
Homecoming. AC-S will host Ohio County on Saturday, February 1 to close the
week.
The February slate of games include a home matchup with Franklin-Simpson
on February 4, a trip to Bowling Green on February 6, and a Friday night trek
to Monroe County on February 7. AC-S will complete District 15 regular season
play on Monday, February 10 at Glasgow, host Metcalfe County on February 13,
and travel to Logan County on February 15. The final week of the regular season
will see AC-S hosting Warren Central for Senior Night and scheduled to play at
Russellville on Thursday, February 20.
The 2020 District 15 tournament will begin on Monday, February 24 at Patriot Gym. The regional tournament follows at Western Kentucky University with the KHSAA Girls State Tournament scheduled for March 11-15 at Rupp Arena in Lexington.
