Archers Take Part in 3D Event

   Archers from the Allen County-Scottsville High School, the James E. Bazzell Middle School, and the Allen County Intermediate Center participated in the Adairville IBK 3D Shootout this past weekend.
 

   Freshmen Calvin Smith, Cole Meador, and Gabriel Oshefsky shot for the high school. Smith recorded a score of 260 and placed third among the eight high school shooters in the event. Meador placed fourth with a 259. Oshefsky posted a 217.

   Two archers represented the Bazzell Middle School. Seventh-grader Caleb Underwood shot a 224 to place 10th in the 23-entry middle school male field. Eighth grader Shelby Hughes placed seventh in the 13 archer girls’ middle school field after shooting a 210.

   The Allen County Intermediate Center (ACIC) entered six archers in the middle school division. Keagan Petty (235) placed seventh among the male middle school archers and 14th overall in the division. Hayley Ditlevson (231) took top honors in the 13-archer female field. In additional ACIC results in the middle school division, Lexis Loggins shot a 214 and Weston McCoy posted a 207. Ashley Shrum and Mia Jacobsen also participated.

   Seven ACIC archers took part in the elementary division at Adairville. Caden Elmore shot a 230 to top the elementary boys list and also the fourth grade list. Madison Dickerson was first among the elementary girls with a score of 220. Dylan Overman, Logan Roof, Melia Emery, Kaylee Dickerson, and Ty Jacobsen also participated.

   Archers from each school are scheduled to take part this Friday and Saturday in Bullseye competition at the Butler County High School’s Quiver-Shiver in Morgantown. The event is a state qualifier.
