The Allen County-Scottsville High School
Drama Department will present “The Stinky Cheese Man and Other Fairy Stupid
Tales” in a community performance Saturday, March 24 at the high school auditorium.
The
play is a production by the 26 drama student’s in the class of Dixie Flowers. Students
have been working toward this week’s production since the start of the spring
semester in January.
According to playscripts.com, the play is an adaption of Jon Scieszka and
Lane Smith's quintessential children's book of fractured fairy tales with
everything from "Chicken Little" to "The Gingerbread Man"
undergoing a complete makeover. According to the website, “fun music and witty
narration accompany the likes of ineloquent giants, sassy barnyard animals,
colossal cow pies, and enough stinky cheese to go around.”
Students at Allen County-Scottsville High
School will see a sample of the play during the day on Friday. The entire
production will be presented to the community Saturday evening, March 24, starting
at 6. Admission to the community performance will be $3 for students and $5 for
community members.
