Allen County Career and Technical Center (ACCTC) educator Matt Keith has earned dual certification as a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) and a Certified Welding Educator (CWE).
“The certification was not an easy task,” noted ACCTC Director Joseph Cosby. “Matt had to attend 50 hours of training in Alabama and then take an eight-hour written test over National welding codes and standards. This accomplishment is very beneficial to our students and the community because he can now certify anyone with welding skills.”
Keith teaches Gas Tungsten Welding, Gas Metal Welding, and Blueprint Reading at ACCTC. In the current fall semester, 59 students are learning career skills in Keith’s three classes. Keith will teach the same classes in the spring semester of 2017.
