Golf Season Underway

Golf Season Underway

  The Allen County-Scottsville girls and boys golf team participated in two 18-hole tournaments this week.

  The Lady Patriot team---golfers Hannah Beltz and Ally Miller---participated in the Taylor County invitational last Saturday. Beltz carded a 110 and miller shot a 114 in action at the Campbellsville country Club. Monday, the ladies participated in the Glasgow Invitational. Beltz posted a score of 98 while Miller had a 104.

  The boys golf team opened their season Saturday at Taylor County. Owen Stamper led the way with an 82, followed by Tate Stinson’s 89. Tanner McPeak carded a 92, Dawson birge shot a 99, and Bryson bonds posted a 101 score.

  Monday, the Patriots participated in the Gator Invitational at the Indian hills Country Club in Bowling Green. Stamper fired a five over par 76 to place 23rd in the 81-player field. Stinson was seven over par (78) and placed 28th in the event. Other scores were Bryson Bonds (87), Dawson Birge (89), and Brett Rippy (92).

  The Patriots and Lady Patriots return to the course on Thursday as the squads will play in the South Warren tournament at Crosswinds in Bowling Green. Saturday, the boys team is in the Warren East tournament at Shady Hollow golf course in Cub Run. Next Tuesday, the Patriots host Monroe County at the Scottsville Country Club.
