The annual DECA Fall
Workshop was held last week at Western Kentucky University with 26 AC-SH
students in attendance. The day-long event was geared toward helping DECA
students prepare for upcoming competitions this school year.
“Students started out learning what not to
wear and what was appropriate DECA competition attire,” explained DECA sponsor
Misty Rather. “Then, the students were split into four tracks for workshops. Track 1 was for students who were planning to compete
in an individual series event and role play. Track 2 was for students who
planned to compete in written events this year. Track 3 focused on students who
were competing in Professional Selling events and Track 4 was for students who
have never competed before and went over the rules of guidelines of competition
in general to help students figure out what to compete in.”
