The Allen County-Scottsville Patriot volleyball squad opens District 15 tournament play on Tuesday, October 9 at Monroe County High School in Tompkinsville.
One-seed AC-S (17-7, 6-0) faces four-seed Barren County (15-15, 1-5) at 5:30. The night cap has two-seed Monroe County (5-10, 3-3) pitted against three-seed Glasgow (10-21, 2-4). District matches will be best three of five sets.
The finals of the District 15 tournament are slated for 6 p.m. on Thursday, October 11. The champion and runner-up advance to the Region 4 tournament at Franklin-Simpson starting Monday, October 15.
ACS has defeated Barren County in straight sets twice this season. On August 23, the Lady Patriots won the match 2-0 ( 25-9, 25-12). On September 13, ACS took the match with 25-14 and 25-12 set victories.
The Lady Patriots are the reigning District 15 Champions. Last year, AC-S downed Barren County in the opening round and Monroe County in the finals to capture the school’s first District 15 volleyball championship.
