The 2019-20 school year will begin
Wednesday, August 7 for students in the Allen County School District. To help
students and parents prepare for the return to the classrooms, each school will
have open house events and orientations beginning in late July.
The Allen County Primary Center will have Open House for preschool,
first, second, and third graders from 4 until 6 p.m. on Monday, July 29. Kindergarten
Open House will be on Tuesday, July 30. The classrooms
of Shayna Cockrill, Jamie England, Lisa Kirby, Sarah Reynolds and Jean Anne Williams will observe their Open House from
4 until 6 p.m. while the classrooms of Rachel Gammons, Cindy King, Daphne
Mitchell, Heather Mitchell, and Karen Stinson will have Open House from 6 until
8 that evening.
The Allen County
Intermediate Center will have Open House for all students on Tuesday,
July 30. The Open House will start at 5 and last until 7 p.m. for the fourth,
fifth, and six graders.
The James E.
Bazzell Middle School will have Seventh Grade Orientation on Monday, August 5 starting at 5:15 p.m. with an assembly in the school’s gymnasium. The Open House for seventh grade will last until 7:15. Eighth Grade Orientation will start at 6:15 p.m. and conclude at 8 on Monday, August 5.
Allen
County-Scottsville High School will have Open House for all students
from 4 until 6 p.m. on Thursday, August 1. Incoming freshman and their parents
should note that a Freshman Orientation session will also be held at 5 in the
auditorium. Freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and seniors will be able to pick up their
schedules in the gymnasium upon their arrival.
Parents/guardians of children
that will be newcomers to the Allen County School District are encouraged to
enroll their child/children as soon as possible. Parents can contact the school
the child will be attending to begin the enrollment process.
