ACS Runners Participate in Twilight Run

   The duo of James Tyler Stanger and Tad Kolton Taylor led the way as the Allen County-Scottsville High School cross country team placed seventh Saturday at the Warren East Twilight Run at Ephraim White Park in Warren County. In the girls’ 5K, Sarah Davis led the Lady Patriots.
 

   Stanger continues to emerge for the Patriots, covering the course in 17:42.33 to finish 15th in the 137-runner field. Stanger’s time was also the fastest among the eight eighth-graders competing in the varsity event. Taylor posted a time of 17:52.72 to place 17th in the event. 

   Additional AC-S runners and their times were Davi Thompson (20:28.21), Jeff Haney (21:19.10), and Conner Davenport (23:06.18). 

   In the girls varsity run, Davis covered the course in the time of 23:17.07 to place 26th in the 95-runner field. Davis was the second quickest eighth-grader in the field. Sally McPherson posted a time of 23:54.54. 

   Four middle school runners competed in the middle school 3K event. Grant Morgan posted a time of 14:46.21, Alex Stamps had a time of 15:51.45 while Houston Porter finished in 17:36.18. Kiana White covered the course in 16:58.96 to place 19th in the 41-runner field. 

   AC-S runners are scheduled to complete in the Gatorland Run Saturday at Phil Moore Park in Bowling Green.
