The Allen County-Scottsville Patriot golf team has claimed the District Golf Tournament championship. The Patriots carded a combine score of 149 to edge Monroe County by four strokes in the nine-hole tournament played Monday afternoon at the Scottsville Country Club. The annual event pits the teams which comprise District 15 in basketball and baseball (AC-S, Barren County, Glasgow, and Monroe County). Glasgow placed third after a team score of 159 with Barren County recording a 169.
In individual play, AC-S senior and Middle Tennessee State University commit Owen Stamper carded a two-under par round of 33 on his home course to take first place. Trevor Isenburg from Monroe County was a stroke back with a round of 34 while Drew Richardson was third after a level-par 35. Rafe Blankenship from AC-S, Clay Pippin from Glasgow, and Evan Johnson of Barren County shot rounds of 37.
Additional AC-S scores includes Peyton Cline with a 39, Bryson Bonds recording a 40, and Tyler Ford posting a 41.
