Swim Participates in Warren Meet


   The Allen County-Scottsville swim team took part in the seven-team Warren County Holiday Invite Saturday at the Warren County Aquatic Center in Bowling Green. AC-S’s swimmers finished with a combined score of 143, placing fourth in the event dominated by swimmers from Bowling Green, Greenwood, and South Warren.

 

   Results for the Lady Patriots included a fifth-place finish by the 200-yard Medley Relay team. Swimmers Sarah Hartman, Hayden Petty, Rachel Meador, and Leah Hartman recorded a time of 2:25.80 in the event.

 

   Sarah Hartman also posted a time of 1:22.19 in the 100y butterfly to place sixth in the field. Petty placed 14th in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:42.34) and 18th in the 100y freestyle (1:18.51). Meador recorded a seventh spot in the 50y freestyle (30.93) and a 10th in the 100y free in the time of 1:11.56. Leah Hartman was eighth in the 200y Individual Medley with the time of 2:53.90 and came home fifth in the 100y breaststroke (1:25.43).

 

   The Patriot swimmers of Zach Ainsley, Bradley Wagoner, Aaron Shain, and Tad Kolton Taylor placed seventh in the 200y medley relay. The foursome combined to finish the event in 2:36.46. In the 200y Free Relay, the team posted a time of 2:11.70 to place fourth.

 

   Individually, Taylor earned a third place in the 200y freestyle with a time of 2:06.36. Taylor was 11th in the 100y backstroke in the time of 1:12.17. Ainsley was 18th in the 100y free with the time of 1:27.19 and 16th in the 100y backstroke (1:41.24). Shain swam the 50y free in the time of 30.21 to place 10th and recorded a time of 1:36.72 in the 100y fly. Wagoner was 14th in the 50y free (32.88) and 10th in the 100y free in the time of 1:15.42.
