Allen County-Scottsville High School senior Elly Shockley was chosen as the 2017 football homecoming queen Friday night, capping off Homecoming Week activities.
Shockley was selected by vote of the Patriot football team to wear the crown. Joining her in the court for 2017 are senior attendant Bailee Alderson, junior attendant Rachel Bomar, sophomore attendant Emma Waggoner, freshman attendant Abigail Rather, and club attendant Katie White.
The homecoming festivities capped a week of dress-up day activities and a Thursday pep rally. During the spirited pep assembly, senior Dalton Birge was selected at “Mr. Patriot.”
Shockley’s selection as homecoming queen highlighted a night that did not produce a good result for the Patriot football team. Franklin-Simpson defeated AC-S 30-7 in the football game.
