Allen County-Scottsville freshman Tad Koltin Taylor placed 120th in the
field of 250 runner at the Kentucky High School Athletic Association (KHSAA)
Class 2A, State Championship Saturday at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington.
Taylor covered the 5K course in a time of 19:11.88. His time was just
over three minutes slower than the 16: 07.33 time posted by this year’s state
champion, Steven Ott from Christian Academy of Louisville. Taylor’s time was
the 18th fastest time posted by a freshman runner in the event.
Taylor is the third Patriot runner to reach the state meet in the past
five years. Frankie Estes (2013) and Clint Pommier (2015) also represented AC-S
in the state championship meet in recent years.
