“This is Randall Jackson and I am the superintendent of the Allen County School District. Saturday evening, November 14, second grade student Gabbi Doolin disappeared while attending a little league football game at Allen County-Scottsville High School. We subsequently learned that Gabbi’s body was found deceased on the campus of the high school. This is a terrible tragedy for Gabbi’s family, our school district, and our community. We have been in contact with our administrators and they have requested privacy for our students, faculty, and staff at this difficult time.
School will be held in Allen County on Tuesday, November 17. Trained guidance counselors from our district and our neighboring school districts will be available in all of our schools to meet the emotional needs of our students. We want to reassure parents that your child’s emotional needs are being met during this difficult time.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Doolin family. Our school family and our community are coming together at this difficult time and will continue to do so in the days and weeks ahead.”
