The 2016-17 school year will begin Thursday, August 4 for students in the Allen County School District. To help students and parents prepare for the return to the classrooms, each school will have open house events and orientations beginning July 26.
The Allen County Primary Center will have Open House for all students on Tuesday, July 26 from 4 until 7 p.m. at the school. Students and parents are encouraged to visit classrooms and meet their teachers at this time.
The Allen County Intermediate Center will have Open House for all students on Thursday, July 28. The Open House will start at 5 p.m. for the school. Teachers will be in their classrooms until 7 p.m. to meet and greet their incoming students.
The James E. Bazzell Middle School will have Seventh Grade Orientation on Thursday, July 28 starting at 6 p.m. in the school’s gymnasium. Eighth Grade Orientation and Open House will be Monday, August 1, starting at 5 and lasting until 7 p.m. at the school.
Allen County-Scottsville High School will have Open House for all students from 5 until 7 p.m. on Monday, August 1. Incoming freshman and parents should note that a Freshman Orientation session will began at 5 p.m. in the auditorium. Freshman will be introduced to administration and freshman teachers and receive their schedules at this time. After the orientation, freshman and parents can tour the building and visit classrooms. Open House for sophomores, juniors, and seniors will be from 5 until 7 p.m. with returning students able to pick up their schedules in the gymnasium upon their arrival.
