Allen County Public Library Offers Baby/Toddler Time

Looking for an educational opportunity for young children? The Allen County Public Library offers Baby/Toddler Time each week---a program designed to introduce youngsters to reading and socialization skills.

The Baby/Toddler Time program is every Thursday beginning at 10:00 a.m. at the library located on the Public Square in Scottsville. Children ages six months to three years of age are welcome to attend this program. Baby/Toddler Time usually lasts for 45 minutes.

During this time, ACPL children’s librarian Amanda McReynolds reads several “big books” to the youngsters. Book examples include “The Big Red Barn”, “The Barnyard Banter”, “Owl Babies,” and “The Napping House.” Following the reading time, the children are able to socialize with one another.

The program is designed to teach basic early-education concepts such as sharing and being friendly towards one another.

For more information on Baby/Toddler Time, contact McReynolds at 270-237-3861.
