Parents can help their child prepare for preschool and kindergarten through an on-going program offered by the Allen County Public Library.
Preschool Story Hour takes place twice a week at the library---Tuesday’s from 10 until 11 a.m. and from 1 until 2 p.m. on Saturday’s.
During story hour, books are read to children and learning strategies are practiced to help improve fine motor skills and language development. The library chooses two or three books---books based around a central topic---to read. After reading time, children will participate in a take-home craft activity.
The library encourages parents to bring their children weekly and remind parents that story hour will help prepare their child for the start of their educational journey in Allen County Schools.
