Three members of the Allen County-Scottsville Lady Patriot softball team
have been selected to the 2018 Region 4 All-Region teams. Seniors Taylor Stamps
and Kris-Anne Pardue earned First Team All-Region honors while sophomore Madi
Gregory was a Second Team All-Region selection based on voting by Region 4
coaches.
Stamps---slated to play college ball at Transylvania---finished the
regular season batting .442. Stamps has recorded a team-best 46 hits, smacked
10 doubles, and recorded one triple and one home run. Stamps has a .487 on-base
percentage and a .587 slugging percentage. Defensively, Stamps has a .833
fielding percentage.
Pardue completed the regular season with an ERA of 2.72 and 96
strikeouts. Pardue has pitched 123.1 innings this season, allowed 126 hits, and
started 20 of AC-S’s 33 games. Pardue’s current record is 13-6. She also has
two saves this year.
Gregory owns a .320 batting average and carries a 1.000 fielding
percentage. Gregory leads the Lady Patriots with seven home runs, has
registered 32 hits, and doubled 10 times. Gregory leads her team with 40 RBI’s.
Joining Stamps and Pardue as First Team All-Region selections include
(in alphabetical order) Jeyda Bays (Warren East), Brea Croslin (Logan County),
Madison Davis (Franklin-Simpson), Katie Gardner (Warren East), Alexis Isable
(South Warren), Amanda Lee (Glasgow), Lauren Martin (South Warren), Olivia
Price (Warren East), and Hayden Sutherland (Barren County). This year, coaches
voted for players by performance rather than by position with the exception of
the pitcher selections of Gardner and Pardue.
Joining Gregory as Second Team All-Region players are pitchers Jordan
Crist (Barren County) and Taylor Enlow (South Warren) along with Hannah Ballard
(Cumberland County), Hailey Hymer (Warren East), K.J. Page (Logan County),
Brylee Pickerell (Monroe County), Madelyn Preston (Russell County), Michaela
Robertson (Todd County Central), Kelsey Sparks (Warren East), and Madison
Stumbo (South Warren).
Honorable Mention All-Region selections include Ashton Akins (Warren
East), Allie Anderson (Barren County), Jess Bush (South Warren), Emma Markham
(Warren East), Abbey Mills (South Warren), and Bailey Morgan (Cumberland
County).
Recognitions are expected to be made during the Region 4 softball
tournament the week of May 28 at Western Kentucky University.
