Allen County-Scottsville
seniors and parents are reminded of early to mid-March application deadlines
for the following scholarship opportunities.
- My Heart Missions Inc. Scholarship - This is a local
non-profit organization that focuses on giving back to those in need. This
year they will be rewarding high school senior(s) with a $1,000
scholarship toward their college educations. Completed application, two
essays, and proof of acceptance to a university/program must be mailed to
the address on the bottom of the application. The deadline is March 1,
2018.
- The Medical Center at
Scottsville Scholarship – This scholarship was established through a gift made by The Medical Center at Scottsville. The scholarship will be made annually
and will be the amount equivalent to in-state tuition and an allowance for
books. It may be awarded to one
student or divided between two students.
The scholarship will be payable over two semesters. The award is not renewable. An
application and additional information---including details about
additional scholarship opportunities from the Medical Center Health
Foundation---can be found under the March calendar at the Guidance office
webpage. Completed applications must be returned to Mrs. Jane Yokley in
Guidance by Friday, March 16, 2018.
- The
Specialty Equipment Market Association
Scholarship- Up to $5,000 is available to a U.S.
Citizens enrolled in a program of study at an accredited university,
college or post-secondary vocational-technical program located within the
United States. Applicant must be planning to enter the automotive industry
and may be majoring in one of the following; Accounting/Finance, Auto
Body/Collision Repair, Automotive Technology, Business, Communications/PR,
Engineering, Graphic Design/Web Design, Industrial Design, Information
Technology, Journalism, Manufacturing, Marketing/Sales, Motorsports,
Supply Chain/Logistics, or Transportation. Deadline to apply is March 1,
2018.

Scholarship in Honor of Warren Weaver – Non-renewable one-time $5,000 scholarship to a senior attending a college or university in the state of Kentucky. Return the
completed application to Mrs. Yokley by March 15. Download the application from the March
