The end of the 2017-18 school year will be
filled with several activities and events for the seniors at Allen
County-Scottsville High School.
Members of the Class of 2018, parents, and
the community are invited to attend the annual Baccalaureate Service, an event
sponsored by the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and the Allen County
Ministerial Association. The annual service will feature an inspirational and
uplifting message for the soon-to-be graduates. The service will be at 6 p.m.
on Sunday, May 6, at the high school auditorium.
The annual AC-SH Awards Night will be held
on Monday, May 14 at 6:30 p.m. in the high school gym. This event will
recognize seniors who will be receiving college scholarship and/or special community-based
awards. Invitations will be mailed to the parents of students who have received
awards and scholarships. Seniors receiving scholarships/awards should inform
the high school guidance department by April 27.
The traditional Class Night for AC-SH
seniors will be held on Saturday, May 19. The program will start at 5:30 in
Patriot Gym. Senior Class superlatives and class members will walk-out in their
formal attire. The evening will feature remarks from Senior Class officers and
special entertainment from members of the graduating class. The annual Junior/Senior
prom will follow at The Glea in Scottsville.
The 44th commencement for Allen
County-Scottsville High School is scheduled for Friday, May 25, at 6:30 p.m. at
Patriot Gym. The graduation activities for the 225-member senior class will
include the traditional processional, the introduction of the class
valedictorian and salutatorian, special remarks and entertainment, and the
awarding of diplomas by Allen County School Superintendent Randall Jackson.
For many AC-S seniors, their time at AC-SH
will conclude with the senior-parent sponsored Up All Night activities. Up All
Night will start at midnight following graduation and include fun, games, food,
and cash awards. The event will last until 6 a.m. on Saturday, May 26.
