PRIDE Master Class of 2021 Starts Training
Pride Masters Class of 2021

The third class in the PRIDE Masters Leadership Development Program launched with an overnight retreat recently at the Barren River State Park Lodge. Allen County-Scottsville High School sophomores Sarah Hartman, Taylor Huff, Trent Huizenga, Austin Minix, Emma Robison, Shea Robison, and Abigail Stamps participated in the July 31-August 1 retreat.

. “During the two days of leadership training the group participated in team building skills and explored some historical and cultural aspects of Allen County,” explained PRIDE Master community advisor Kerri Barman. “The PRIDE Masters also took part in the Myers-Briggs Personality testing where they not only learned about their own personality trait, but also how to work with others with differing traits.”

The annual retreat is designed as an ice breaker for the new class of future community leaders. In the coming months, the sophomore PRIDE Masters will continue with leadership development training as well as working with junior and senior PRIDE Masters. The Class of 2019 and Class of 2020 PRIDE Masters will also be engaged in additional training as well as serving in a variety of ways in the school district and community.
