The Axis
varsity winter guard and the junior varsity guard from Allen County-Scottsville
High School returned to Southeastern Color Guard Association (SCGA) competition
Saturday at Summit High School in Spring Hill Tennessee.
In the Scholastic AA Division, Axis placed second among 11 schools with
a score of 75.25. The winter guard from White House (TN) High School took top
honors with a score of 75.71.
In the Scholastic Regional A division, the AC-S junior winter guard
recorded a score of 69.84 to place seventh among the 10 guards in the division.
Ravenwood (84.81) took top honors.
The Axis varsity and the junior varsity guards are scheduled to return
to competition Saturday, March 10 at Barren County High School. According to
the current schedule, the competition begins at 1 p.m. with the AC-S junior
varsity guard scheduled to take the floor at 1:42. The Axis varsity guard is
slated to perform at 2:05. Saturday’s competition will include 20 guards from
three states.
