   Patriot sophomore Owen Stamper was the individual medalist as the Allen County-Scottsville Patriot golf teams hosted Logan County and Russellville in a tri-meet Thursday afternoon at the Scottsville Country Club.

   Stamper carded a round of 33 to take individual honors. AC-S’s Tate Stinson fired a round of 37 to finish in a second place tie with a Logan County player. Additional AC-S scores include Brett Rippy (41), Dalton Birge (43), Bryson Bonds (43), and Peyton Cline (45).

  In team play, AC-S finished with a four-player total of 154. Logan County was second with a 177 with Russellville shooting a combined 203.

  For the Lady Patriots, golfer Hannah Beltz shot a 44 while Aly Miller carded a 57.

 

  The Patriot boys will host Warren East on Tuesday. The Lady Patriot golfers will face Greenwood at Covington Woods Golf course in Bowling Green.


   The Allen County-Scottsville Patriot and Lady Patriot golf seasons has shifted into full swing. The Patriot team participated in a pair of matches last week while the Lady Patriot golf team took part in the Barren County Invitational on Saturday.

 

   In nine-hole action last week against Monroe County at the Scottsville Country Club, Owen Stamper fired a 35 to lead his team and shoot the low score of the day in the match. Tate Stinson and Dawson Birge carded rounds of 38. Bryson Bonds shot a 44, Brett Rippy had a 44, and Peyton Cline notched a 49.

  Overall, AC-S finished the day with a team score (top four scores) of 154 compared to a 160 for Monroe County.

  Last week on Thursday, Stamper shot a 33 at the Scottsville Country Club to post the low score in a match with Greenwood. Stinson was one stroke off the pace with a 34. Bonds shot a 39 while Birge carded a 41. Rippy fired a 42. In team results, AC-S finished with a 147 while Greenwood shot a combined score of 166.

  Lady Patriot golfers Hannah Beltz and Aly Miller played Saturday at the Barren River State Park. Miller fired a 104 while Beltz shot a 113.

  The teams also participated in a tri-match Monday afternoon at Rolling Hills in Russellville. The Patriots won the match shooting a combined 166. Logan County placed second (176) with Russellville finishing with a 219 score.

  Individual scores from Monday included a round of 39 Stamper, a 41 by Bonds, and a 42 by Stinson. Rippy carded a 44, Tanner McPeak notched a 45, Peyton Cline had a 49 while Dawson Birge shot a 56.

In girls action Monday, Beltz shot a 47 while Miller fired a 52.

  The teams will host Logan County and Russellville Thursday. The Patriots host Warren East on Tuesday while the girls face Greenwood at Covington Woods in Bowling Green.
