The Allen County-Scottsville High School’s Axis Winter Guard and the junior varsity guard finished second in their divisions Saturday at the Southeastern Color Guard Circuit (SCGC) championships at E.A. Diddle Arena at Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green.
Two weeks after edging Daviess County for
top honors in a competition in Owensboro, the Panther Winter Guard turned the
tables. Daviess County posted a score of 81.95 to take top honors in the
Scholastic A Division. Axis was second with a score of 81.71. The division included
eight guard units.
The JV guard recorded a score of 79.75 to
place second among the 13 guard units competing in the Scholastic Regional AA
White division. Pelham High School (AL) took top honors with a score of 80.52.
