The Allen County-Scottsville Patriot Band journeys to South Oldham High School Saturday to participate in the South Oldham Festival of Bands.
AC-S will perform twice during the day. The Patriots will take the field at 1:15 (CDT) in the preliminary round---the second of seven bands taking part in the daylong competition. Additional bands competing include Adair County (Class 2A), Corbin (Class 3A), North Oldham (4A), Ballard (4A), Bullitt East (4A), and Central Hardin (4A). Preliminary award winners will be announced at 3:15. All bands will perform in the finals scheduled to start at 6 Saturday evening.
The competition marks the third festival show for AC-S this season. This year’s show revolves around the classic story of Peter Pan from the view of the story’s lost boys. The band is under the field command of Nathaniel Stinson.
