Meet the Preschool Teachers

Meet Mrs. Courtney

Courtney Bernado picture

My name is Courtney Bernado. I am a wife and mother of two girls and have 2 step children. I graduated in 2006 from WKU with my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education, then a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education with a Technology Endorsement in 2010, and I graduated in May of 2020 with a Masters (Rank 1) of Science in Special Education with a concentration in IECE from EKU.

In my free time, I love to spend time with my family. I love to read when I get the chance! My husband and I are restoring an old home that was built in 1868 and we absolutely love it! My philosophy in life is live each day to fullest and remember to tell those you care about how much you love them. My favorite quote is “Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away” ~Author Unknown

Tabitha Warner

My name is Tabitha Warner. I am 35 years old. I graduated from WKU in December of 2010 with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education and in the summer of 2013 with a master’s degree in IECE. I am currently in my 12th year of teaching preschool, and I absolutely love it! The children are so sweet and fun to be around! I love watching them learn and grow. They mean so much to me. Teaching is my passion.

In my free time, I love spending time with husband Jesse and my stepson Jay, friends, and my Boston Terrier, Zoey. I enjoy watching my husband, daddy and brother drag race, watching a good movie or tv show such as One Tree Hill or Heartland, cheering on the Alabama Crimson Tide football team, running on the treadmill, working in and around my house, going to the beach when I get to, and listening to music. The simple things in life have the greatest impact on my heart. My favorite Bible Verse: Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with ALL your heart and lean not unto your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths.
