Mr. Aaron
Etherington has been selected as the principal for Allen County-Scottsville
High School.
Mr. Etherington
has served as a high school teacher, assistant principal, and principal during
his twenty-one-year education career. Most recently, he served as the principal
at the Nelson County Area Technology Center in Bardstown. Prior to that
experience, he served as principal at East Jessamine High School and Danville
High School. Prior to being an administrator, Mr. Etherington taught Social
Studies and in 2008-09 was named the Danville Teacher of the Year. Mr.
Etherington earned a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts degree from Murray
State University.
“Mr. Etherington brings experience as a high school principal,” said Superintendent Travis Hamby. “His passion, enthusiasm, and vision for ACSHS will further support a strong student-centered learning culture that will benefit all of our students in becoming college and career ready, and certified for life. We are fortunate and excited to have him join the Allen County School District.”

As principal, I will approach our work together through the lens of a father and teacher. My family is excited to join the Allen County-Scottsville community,” said Etherington.
Mr. Etherington
is married to his wife Chasity, and they have three children, Bralyn, Bradyen,
and Reese.
Mr. Etherington will begin his duties as principal at Allen County-Scottsville High School on August 3, 2020.
