The Allen County-Scottsville Lady Patriot golfers will tee off Tuesday morning September 29 in the Region Golf Tournament at the Franklin Country Club in Franklin. AC-S golfers start their 18-hole round at 8:48 from the first hole tee box with the Lady Patriot players paired with players from Edmonson County and Franklin-Simpson.

First to tee off at 8:48 will be seventh-grader Allison Ford. Starting play at 9 a.m. will be seventh-grader Ella Anderson. Junior Emma Cline begins play at 9:12 followed by junior Aly Miller at 9:24.

The Region 4 girls’ tournament features 59 players representing 14 schools across southcentral Kentucky. Schools include AC-S, Barren County, Bowling Green, Clinton County, Cumberland County, Edmonson County, Franklin-Simpson, Glasgow, Greenwood, Hart County, Logan County, Monroe County, South Warren, and Warren East.

This year’s regional event at Franklin Country Club will have COVID-19 related guidance for parents, spectators, and teams. Each player is limited to two spectators meaning that foursomes should only have eight people walking with them around the course. No spectator carts will be available but individuals may bring their own carts. Once a team finishes the day, they will be asked to leave unless a player/team is in contention for top honors in the tournament.

The winning team and the top seven individuals with the lowest score that are not on the winning team, will qualify for the Leachman Buick•GMC•Cadillac/KHSAA Girl’ State Golf Tournament on October 8-10 currently scheduled to be played at the Bowling Green Country Club. South Warren is the defending regional champion.
