A member of the Allen County Public Schools’ central office staff has completed training requirements in the Kentucky Organization of Superintendents’ Administrative Assistants (KOSAA) professional development program sponsored by the Kentucky School Boards Association.

Beth Crowe, who serves as HR, Insurance Coordinator and Administrative Assistant to the Superintendent, as the Allen County District Central Office achieved Level 6 of the KOSAA academy’s ten-tiered training curriculum on February 21, 2020 in Louisville. This encompassed completion of a minimum number of training hours and volunteer service. Training topics include areas such as communications, information confidentiality, the Kentucky Open Meetings and Open Record laws, and records management.

Kentucky’s local educational leaders, from superintendents to board members, realize the value of top-notch administrative professionals. These are key individuals who contribute significantly to efficient and effective school district operations.

KOSAA was designed as a vehicle to provide professional development and camaraderie for administrative assistants whose work is crucial to the success of superintendents and boards across the state. Completion of the various levels of training offered by KOSAA is just one step that contributes to the professional growth of these individuals. KSBA is proud to assist in this endeavor and hopes that all districts will encourage their superintendent’s assistant(s) to attend the twice yearly training events.
