The Allen County-Scottsville High School student body has selected Spencer Boatwright and Sally McPherson as Mr. and Miss Allen County-Scottsville High for the class of 2020.
Boatwright is the 17-year old son of Roger and Starla Brown. He is involved in Pep Club, Student Council, Black Heritage, and Co-Ed-Y. Boatwright’s future plans are to attend Western Kentucky University and pursue a degree related to the pharmaceutical industry.
McPherson is the 17-year old
daughter of Susan and Shaun McPherson. She is a member of the cross country and
track teams and participates in Beta Club, DECA, Pep Club, and the Fellowship
of Christian Athletes. McPherson plans to attend Western Kentucky University.
The faculty at the high
school nominates seniors each year for the prestigious honor. Afterwards, all
students at the school vote on the nominees. Boatwright and McPherson will have
the honor of being the first couple introduced at the annual Class Night program
next May.
The Class of 2019 will select
their superlatives, class colors, class song, class flower, and class motto in
an assembly later this week.
