The Allen County-Scottsville Patriot basketball program will host a three-day “commitment to excellence” summer camp for boys basketball players---Wednesday through Friday, July 10-12.
The camp is for all boys who will be in preschool
thru the eighth grade for the upcoming 2019-20 school year. Campers will
receive basketball instruction, participate in individual drills and engage in
team play.
The camp will start at 8 a.m. and continue until
noon on Wednesday through Friday. Campers will start each morning at the high
school but gyms at the James E. Bazzell Middle School and the Allen County
Primary Center will be used for instruction. Bus transportation will be
provided from the high school to gym locations with the campers returned to the
high school for dismissal each day.
The cost of the camp is $40 per camper.
Households with more than one camper will receive a discount. No
pre-registration is required as sign-ups will take place on the first morning
of the camp at the high school. Checks should be made payable to the AC-S
Patriot Booster Club. All proceeds will help the Patriot basketball program
with summer team camp and uniform expenses.
Campers will also have the option of free
breakfast and lunch through the Summer Feeding Program. Campers may eat
breakfast free of charge from 8:00 until 8:20 and lunch from 11:40 until noon
in the high school cafeteria.
The camp will be under the direction of
Patriot coach Brad Bonds. Assistant AC-S coaches Jeff Rippy, Brandon DeWitt,
and Devin Stovall as well as current Patriot basketball players will help with instruction.
