ACS Softball Holds Banquet

  The Allen County-Scottsville High School Lady Patriot softball season wrapped the 2022 year on Tuesday, July 26 with their annual awards banquet at the Washington Centre in Scottsville. 

 

   Award winners included senior-graduate Bailey Ausbrooks who earned offensive recognition for hitting seven home runs, having 46 RBI’s, 40 hits, and finishing with a .421 batting average. Hadley Borders was awarded an offensive award for 16 stolen bases, 24 walks, 356 runs scored, a .610 on-base percentage, and a .505 batting average. Jacie Rice received an offensive award for 27 RBI’s, 25 runs scored, and 18 extra-base hits. Ally Anderson also received offensive recognition for 41 hits, 30 runs scored, and a .446 batting average. 

 

   Jayleigh Steenbergen earned the Golden Glove Award, K.J. Scott received the Newcomer of the Year Award, Shiloh Knievel was presented with the Helmet Award, and K.K. Duncan received the Coaches Award. 

 

   Academic awards were presented to high school players based on their work in the classroom. Freshman winners were Brenna Eaton and Ally Anderson, the sophomore winner was Clara Berry, and the senior winner was Bailey Ausbrooks.  (A junior was not recognized because the team does not have a junior on the roster.)

 

   Letter winners included Brooklyn Oliver, K.J. Scott, Addie Law, Katelyn Duncan, Hadley Borders, Addie Ausbrooks, Aubrey Williams, Jacie Rice, Shiloh Knievel, Ally Anderson, Haiden Brown, Jayleigh Steenbergen, Clara Berry, and Bailey Ausbrooks.

 

   AC-S posted a 19-15 record on the season. The Lady Patriots claimed the District 15 championship and was a Region 4 semifinalist.
