During the Progressive Agricultural Safety Day events each year, fourth graders attend from schools within the BRADD district to learn about safety at home and on the farm. After the events, students enter artwork for a contest to display what they learned at Safety Day. 12 pieces of artwork are chosen to create the next year’s calendar, and 1 piece is chosen as the cover for the calendar.
The Kentucky Partnership for Farm Family Health and Safety, INC. presents each year’s winners with awards for their artwork. A first, second, and third place winner was chosen from each school. The winning artwork from each school are entered into a contest to choose overall winners.
