The Kentucky Association of Basketball Coaches (KABC) has named Allen County-Scottsville senior Debora

Patrick as the Region 4 Player of the Year. The selection makes Patrick eligible for the Miss Basketball award---the prestigious title bestowed upon the senior deemed as the top player in the Commonwealth.

Patrick---who has started every game this year to push her career start total to 53 times in 98 games---has taken her play to a new level to help lead the Lady Patriots to a 20-7 regular season record. Patrick is averaging 12.7 points and 9.0 rebounds per game. She is shooting 54.2% from the floor (135/249) and 79.3% from the foul line (73/93). Patrick averages 24 minutes per game.

The 5’11 center scored a career-high 29 points against Glasgow on February 7---the third time she exceeded 20 points in a game this season. Patrick has scored in double figures in 20 of AC-S’s 27 games. Patrick has tallied 344 points this season, pushing her career total to 674 points, which is 32nd on the all-time AC-S scoring list.

On the glass, Patrick has grabbed 244 total rebounds through the regular season---119 on the offensive glass and 125 on the defensive board. She has grabbed double-digit rebounds in 12 games including a career-high 18 coming against Franklin-Simpson on January 2. Patrick also has 10 double-double (points-rebounds) games this year. In her career, Patrick has 20 double-doubles. Since donning a Lady Patriot uniform, she has collected 628 rebounds, an average of 6.4 per game.

Patrick is the first Lady Patriot selected as the KABC Player-Of-The-Year since Sarah Sutton in 2019.
