Allen County-Scottsville High School has announced Jeffrey Alexander Garcia and Brooklyn Elizabeth Oliver as Mr. and Miss AC-SHS for the Class of 2027. The honor, voted on by the AC-SHS faculty, recognizes two members of the senior class who exemplify the qualities expected of an AC-S Patriot.

Garcia, 17, is the son of Leonel Garcia and the late Melissa Basham Garcia. He is the grandson of Roger Mills and Lisa Webb.

Oliver, 17, is the daughter of Ashlee Oliver and the granddaughter of Carol Oliver and the late Reilus Oliver.

Mr. and Miss ACSHS are selected based on qualities which include; being well-rounded, well-mannered and respectful while maintaining behavior that is above reproach. Honorees are also expected to maintain good grades, participate in extracurricular activities and be active in making their community a better place. The recognition also emphasizes being well-liked by others and, most importantly, showing kindness and generosity to students from all walks of life.

Garcia and Oliver will be the first couple introduced at Class Night next spring. Class Night is a time-honored tradition held as part of graduation exercises for each senior class.
