The Axis
varsity winter guard and the junior varsity guard from Allen County-Scottsville
High School participated in a Southeastern Color Guard Association (SCGA)
competition Saturday at the Barren County High School in Glasgow.
In the Scholastic AA Division, Axis scored 74.18 to capture the top
honor. Hart County was second with a score of 67.83.
In the Scholastic Regional A division, the AC-S junior winter guard
recorded a score of 74.35 win the division over Ohio County (73.38).
The Axis varsity and the junior varsity guards are scheduled to participate
in the Spring Hill Raider Regional on Saturday, March 24, at Spring Hill High
School in Columbia Tennessee. The junior guard is slated to perform at 5:33
p.m. while Axis will take the floor at 8:05 that evening. The day-long regional
event will feature over 60 guards and percussion units taking part in multiple
divisions.
