Four Allen County-Scottsville High School art students earned art recognitions for their creative work last weekend at the 19th annual Edmonton State Bank Young Artist High School Exhibit in Glasgow.
Haley Harper earned a second place award for her piece entitled “Christ’s Sacrifice.” Harper received a $75 gift card.
Earning Honorable Mention-2D recognitions were Krista Graves for her drawing “Nephew,” Lauren Stinson for her Micrography piece “The Crow and the Butterfly,” and Shelby Stamps for her acrylic painting “Psychedelic Starry Night.”
The art work of 13 students from AC-SH was entered in the contest. Students who participated were Josie Fox, Kendall Gott, Lauren Stinson, Krista Graves, Kane Tangen, Christian Shrum, Ally Swygart, Shelby Stamps, Haley Harper, Sabrina Martin, and Santana Cruz.
