The Allen County-Scottsville High School Patriot Band placed second in Class 2A and fourth overall last Saturday at the Warren East Invitational in Bowling Green.
In the 11-band field taking part in the
Mid-States Band Association sanctioned event, AC-S received a score of 61.10.
Class 2A Taylor County was named Grand Champion with a score of 69.10. Class 4A
band Muhlenberg County was second with a score of 63.80 while Class 3A
Christian County was third (62.20).
In judging for Color Guard, AC-S earned top
honors with a score of 153. In the percussion division, the AC-S unit was
fourth overall (119) behind Christian County (146), Taylor County (143) and
Cumberland County (135).
The AC-S Band and Guard is slated to return
to competition on Saturday, October 13, at the Barren County Invitational in
Glasgow.
