The Allen County School
District will have kindergarten and preschool registration from 4:30 until 6:30
p.m. on Thursday, April 11, 2019 at the Allen County Primary Center. Parents
and guardians of students who will be starting kindergarten or seeking to
enroll in preschool for the 2019-20 school year are urged to register their
children at this time.
To enroll in kindergarten,
students must be five years old on or before August 1, 2019. Please note, a
policy and process is available for parents of children who turn five between
August 2, 2019 and October 1, 2019 and would like for their child to attend kindergarten
in the upcoming school year. Contact the Allen County Primary Center for more
information.
To attend preschool, students
must be four years old by August 1, 2019 and meet income eligibility
requirements or be three years old and identified with special needs.
Parents and guardians
registering students for kindergarten or preschool should bring a valid birth
certificate, a Kentucky Immunization Certificate, and---for preschool
registration only---proof of income.
Registration on April 11 will allow
Primary Center staff to conduct kindergarten screenings prior to the end of the
school year and helps school administrators determine staffing requirements.
