Open House/Orientation Schedule

   The 2014-15 school year will began Wednesday, August 6 for students in the Allen County School District. To help students and parents prepare for the return to the classrooms, each school will have open houses and orientations beginning July 28.

   At the Allen County Intermediate Center, fourth grade orientation is scheduled for Monday, July 28 from 5 until 7:00 p.m. at the school. Fifth grade orientation will be on Tuesday, July 29 from 5 until 7 p.m. and sixth grade orientation will be from 5 until 7 p.m. on Wednesday, July 30.

   The James E. Bazzell Middle School will have seventh grade orientation on Tuesday, July 29 starting at 6 p.m. in the school’s gymnasium. Eighth grade orientation will be Thursday, July 31, starting at 6 p.m. at the school.

   The Allen County Primary Center will host their Kindergarten Open House for incoming kindergarten students on Thursday, July 31 starting at 5 and lasting until 7 p.m. at the school. The school’s open house for preschool, first, second, and third graders will be from 4 until 6 p.m. on Monday, August 4.

   Allen County-Scottsville High School will have open house from 4 until 7 p.m. on Monday, August 4. Seniors and juniors are asked to come between 4 and 5:30 with sophomores freshman encouraged to attend between 5:30 and 7:00. Freshman orientation will be held at 6:30 in the auditorium.

   In support of the school district, the Primary Center and Intermediate Center, the United Way of Southern Kentucky will host a Day of Caring Back-to-School Bash from 5 until 7 p.m. on Tuesday, July 22 at the Allen County Intermediate Center. This event will feature free school supplies, free haircuts, free eye and dental screenings, and other activities and information booths to help families and students prepare for the school year.
