Today’s speaker was Cooper Guy. He spoke to our students about the importance of loving each other just as God loves us. He challenged them to share with others that we love them, but God loves them more. Thank you, Cooper!

Last night was ACIC's annual event called The Great Habit Hunt. This is an event for families to learn about the 8 Habits from The Leader in Me and students to have fun reviewing the habits. The Leader In Me is a huge part of ACIC. The 8 Habits are ways students can demonstrate leadership. The Student Lighthouse team started the night with an 8 Habits presentation to families before the Great Habit Hunt began.
Thank you to all families that could join us. We even had some prize winners from the scavenger hunt.

ACIC celebrated its annual Veterans Day Program today! A heartfelt thank you to Mrs. Emily Williams’ class for leading a beautiful program honoring our Veterans. We also extend our appreciation to the ACIC Choir for their outstanding performance and to Cody Williams for serving as our guest speaker. It was a wonderful day to recognize and honor our deserving Veterans — we are deeply grateful for their service and sacrifice. Thank you to all the veterans that could join us today as well.
We are also proud to share that ACIC was recognized as a Purple Star School! This state-wide designation honors schools that show a strong commitment to supporting military-connected students and their families. Katilyn Slaughter presented Ms. Lockwood (FRC Coordinator) the award on behalf of ACIC military families and students. Ms. Lockwood is the liaison for this program at ACIC. This is a huge honor for ACIC. All Allen County Schools are now part of the Purple Star Program.

Today’s FCA speaker was ACIC’s own Mr. Stovall. He spoke about standing tall, like a game of Jenga. Our lives are built on many different things, much like a Jenga tower. However, without a relationship with God, none of that matters. Thank you, Mr. Stovall!

Students were encouraged to draw a cover in art class - they were given a an outline of what must been included on the cover such as the year 2025-2026 and ACIC the rest was up to them to be creative! After collecting a TON of drawings they were looked thru to make sure it all met qualifications and then submitted for voting from the teachers. We are very proud of all these students for the hard work, creativity and willingness to try!

ACIC students learned a lot during Bullying Prevention Month. Students did activities and discussions during their October counseling lesson. 6th grade did an escape room, 4th grade learned the importance of being an upstander while playing a board game, and 5th grade learned about the importance of our words and actions and their impacts on others. The Student Lighthouse Team also worked to bring awareness by making posters, passing out fliers, and playing a game with students.
