Allen County Schools will have a Non-Traditional Instruction (NTI) Day on Wednesday, January 28, 2026 and Thursday, January 29, 2026. If you have power, please follow the NTI plan and complete the assignments provided by your teachers. If you do not have power, we completely understand. You’ll be given extra time to complete assignments once your power is restored. It is also possible that some teachers may still be without power and unable to upload assignments right away. If that’s the case, they will post and communicate with students as soon as they are able. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we continue to navigate the impact of the recent winter storm.

Due to ongoing widespread power outages, Allen County Schools will be closed tomorrow, Tuesday, January 27, 2026. There will be no school and no NTI assignments tomorrow. We understand this storm has impacted many households, and our priority remains the safety and well-being of our students, families, and staff. We will continue to monitor conditions and provide updates as soon as possible.

Due to significant icing from the winter storm and widespread power outages affecting thousands in our county, Allen County Schools will be closed on Monday, January 26, 2026 and Tuesday, January 27, 2026. Monday, January 26 - No school and NO NTI due to ongoing power outages. Tuesday, January 27 - We will implement a Non-Traditional Instruction (NTI) Day, provided conditions allow. We will continue to monitor the situation closely and will communicate any updates as needed. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we prioritize the safety and well-being of our students and staff.

Due to the weather forecast, Chromebooks were sent home with students today as a precaution in the event we need to utilize NTI. Please keep Chromebooks in students’ backpacks to ensure they are ready if needed.

At this time, no decisions have been made for Monday. Please continue to monitor communication from the district through the district website, ParentSquare, and social media should there be any updates or changes. The NTI schedule is attached for your reference.

We would also like to recognize our staff members who achieved perfect attendance during Quarter 2. Your reliability, professionalism, and dedication to our students do not go unnoticed. Consistent presence makes a meaningful difference in the lives of children and in the strength of our school community. Thank you for your commitment and for all you do each day.

Allen County Primary Center is excited to officially welcome Ms. Lily to the ACPC team. Ms. Lily has served our students for over a year as a substitute while completing her bachelor’s degree, and we are proud to welcome her as a full-time ECE teacher. We appreciate her dedication to our students and are thrilled to have her continue her work at ACPC in this new role.

With winter gearing up we want to make sure you are aware of our Non-Traditional Instructional Day Calendar. Students will be sent home with Chromebooks if there is a chance of inclement weather. You can always check the district website and social media pages for updates on school closings and/or delays.

🚌 Countdown to Kindergarten 🚌 is a four-part family series designed to help families prepare their upcoming Kindergarten students for a successful start to school. Sessions will include information about early literacy, early numeracy, and school readiness skills for families to do at home with their children. These one-hour sessions will be held on January 29, February 17, March 26, and April 21 from 5:15-6:45. The final session in April will also serve as Kindergarten enrollment night. Kindergarten teachers will lead the parent sessions and child care will be provided. We want strong participation from our families and hope to see you there.
