Congratulations to Eddie Hickey on competing in the KHSAA State Track & Field Finals! Eddie fought through the rain and represented ACS proudly, earning a spot on the podium and bringing home a state medal!
We are incredibly proud of Eddie and all of our state participants for their hard work, determination, and dedication throughout the season. Rain or shine, they represented our school with pride and gave it everything they had. Great job, Patriots!

Congratulations to Senior Tyler Marsh, Junior Max Drummond, Junior Eddie Hickey, and Sophomore Leo Travis for qualifying for this year’s KHSAA Class 2A State Championship!
Tyler will compete in the 800M, Max and Leo will compete in Discus, and Eddie will compete in both the 110M Hurdles and 300M Hurdles.
What an incredible accomplishment and a tremendous season for these athletes and the ACS Track & Field program. We are proud of all their hard work and can’t wait to cheer them on at state!

From Med Center Health Foundation: Congratulations to Seniors Kennedy Carter and Jonah Hamby who will receive The Medical Center at Scottsville Scholarship for the 2026-2027 school year. Kennedy will attend Western Kentucky University and is studying to become a Nurse. Jonah plans to attend Western Kentucky University and study Business Management. Congratulations Kennedy and Jonah!
From The Medical Center at Scottsville: It is with great pride and heartfelt admiration that we congratulate Kennedy Carter as the recipient of the 2026 Rita Tabor Memorial Nursing Scholarship.
Rita devoted nearly 40 years of her life to caring for and serving the people of this community through nursing. She believed deeply in compassion, hard work, and treating every patient like family. It is especially meaningful to continue her legacy by supporting local students who feel called to the same profession she loved so dearly.
This scholarship is awarded each year to a senior at Allen County-Scottsville High School who plans to pursue a career in nursing, and Kennedy is a wonderful reflection of the caring spirit this scholarship represents.
Congratulations, Kennedy. We are excited to see the difference you will make in the lives of others in the years ahead.

Breaking:The Allen County Scottsville Jazz Band attended KMEA Jazz Assessment today for the first time and earned a distinguished rating! Congratulations!
You can hear the Jazz Band in concert Saturday, May 9, at 6:30 at the high school auditorium.

Earlier this season at The Spartan Relay and Field Events, our boys DMR school record was broken for the second year in a row! Congratulations Landon Meador, Rico Gass, Tyler Marsh and Ashton Cox! We are very proud of you!
Eddie Hickey broke the school record for the 110 Hurdles at The Blue and Gold Invitational earlier in the season.
He will compete this Wednesday at Warren East High School at the Class A, Region 2 track meet.

Change in Baccalaureate Time!
Please note that the Baccalaureate time for Sunday, May 3 has been changed to 4:30 p.m.
The Allen County-Scottsville High School chapter of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) extends an invitation to the Class of 2026 to attend the time-honored and traditional Baccalaureate Service. The program will be on Sunday, May 3 at 4:30 p.m. at the high school auditorium. Note the time change from the original planned 6 p.m. time.
Baccalaureate services are a time when graduating seniors are the special guests during an hour of worship. The service is typically a quieter, reflective companion to commencement, offering a specific time for thoughts on their academic journeys and reflection on their spiritual life as well as pondering their future journeys.
The Baccalaureate service was once a regular part of high school graduation activities in schools across the nation. Churches would dismiss their own services; encouraging their members to attend the local Baccalaureate Service to paint a unified-community picture for the graduates---demonstrating the importance of worship going forward. Sponsored by the school’s FCA chapter, a local ministerial association, or a local church, Baccalaureate services still take place but the scale and the participation level by students, church and community members have gradually declined.
In Allen County, FCA at the high school coordinates the program, thus continuing a tradition dating back decades. All seniors are invited but attendance is voluntary. For AC-SH seniors who accept the invitation, FCA leaders ask that seniors arrive by 5:30 p.m. with their caps and gowns. The service starts at 6 p.m. as seniors walk into the auditorium. The program will include prayer, special music from Chelsea Morrison and Jimmy Martin, and a keynote address from a local pastor or spiritual leader. The Baccalaureate service is expected to last an hour or less.
Parents/Guardians, family, friends, churches, and community members are welcome.
