P3 Grant Program Launched

   A recently received federal grant to Allen County Schools is a win-win for students, parents, business and industry, and the community. The five-year, $7.4 million Perkins Innovation & Modernization Grant will help students as they pursue a path toward college or a path toward entrance into a profession for life. The grant will be used as the Allen County-Scottsville High School, the Allen County Career and Technical Center, and the James E. Bazzell Middle School implement the Pathways, Proficiency, and Promotion (P3) project.

Musical This Weekend at AC-SHS

A talented group of young theoretical performers is learning lines and songs for the upcoming spring musical at Allen County-Scottsville High School. Rogers and Hammerstein's Cinderella, presented by Fast Freddy's Carwash and a partnership with the Allen County Arts Council, will be performed March 24-26 at the high school auditorium---a production that will cap off over fourth months of preparation.

Ribbon Cutting Launches Stem Hub at Patriot Academy

   Laser cutting and printing, 3-D printing, virtual reality exploration, creative thinking materials, and t-shirt making are just a few of the many activities now available to all students in the Allen County School District.  A ribbon cutting ceremony March 20 officially opened a repurposed classroom inside the Patriot Academy---a classroom specially set aside for students and teachers to experience hands-on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) related activities.
