Allen County-Scottsville High School Future Farmers of America (FFA) chapter
members competed in the Barren River Region FFA Speaking, Skills, Creed, and
Parliamentary Procedure competitions on Tuesday at the Glasgow
campus of Western Kentucky University. Six students placed in the top
three of their respective categories.
Harley
Tabor placed first in the Floral Impromptu Speaking competition. Receiving
second place awards were Alyssa Welch for Agriculture Mechanics Impromptu
Speaking, Anthony Hardin for Poultry Impromptu Speaking, and Taylor Carter for
FFA Quiz. Third place winners included Stacee Groce in Extemporaneous Speaking
and Tristan Skipworth in Nursery and Landscaping Impromptu Speaking.
Tabor,
Welch, and Hardin will be eligible to compete at the Kentucky State FFA
Convention in June.
Additional FFA students participating Tuesday included Harley Carter,
Mattie England, Trent Huizenga, Lauren Keown, Tori Langman, Johnna Meador,
Natalie Meredith, Lori Pendley, and Peyton Wilson
