Busy Saturday for ACS Golf

   Allen County-Scottsville sophomore Rafe Blankenship and junior Ally Miller paced their squads in tournament golf action Saturday.
 
    Blankenship registered an even par round of 72 in play at the Battle of the Bridge Tournament at Old Bridge Country Club in Danville. His effort earned a tie for 15th in individual play in an 85-player field---a field featuring many of the top golfers in the state. 
 
  AC-S senior Peyton Cline posted an 81 on the day while senior Tyler Ford carded an 86. Eighth-grader Eli Stamper finished with an 87 while junior Joshua Sikes posted a 96. 
 
   The Patriots finished with a team score of 326. Louisville Trinity captured team honors with a 281 score, followed by St. X (285) and Madison Central (286). Clay Pendergrass from Madison Central was the individual winner after a round of 67. 
 
   The Lady Patriots participated in the Barren County Invitational Saturday at the Barren River State Park Golf Course. Miller led the Lady Patriots with a round of 101. Seventh-grader Ella Anderson carded a 111. Junior Emma Cline notched a 121 while seventh-grader Allison Ford had a 127.
