SkillsUSA Participates in Regional Event

   Sixteen SkillsUSA students from the Allen County Career and Technical Center have qualified for state competition after earning first, second, or third place awards on February 22 in skills and leadership competitions at the Southcentral Kentucky Community and Technical Center campus in Bowling Green. The students represented the Automotive, Drafting, Industrial Maintenance and Welding programs at the Tech Center.

   First place winners were Seth Parkhurst, Slate Dalton and Logan Moore (Welding Fabrication team event), Joshua Herald (Industrial Motor Controls), Rey Ouellette-Magana and Zachary Turner (Mechatronics team event), Kyle King (Technical Drafting CAD and Extemporaneous Writing), Hunter Shores (Technical Drafting Board), Sno Browning (Architectural Drafting Board and Pledge), Gabrielle Tangen (Spelling), and Joshua Prue (Customer Service). 

   Second place winners included Zachary Disman (Welding), Jessie Radcliff (Architectural Drafting CAD and Spelling), Jayleigh Minix (Architectural Drafting Board and Extemporaneous Writing), and Zachary Ansley (Job Interview). 

   Students placing third were Dustin Bullington (Industrial Motor Controls), Waymon Dye (MLR-formerly Auto Service Technology 1), Gabrielle Tangen (Technical Drafting CAD), and Zachary Ansley (Architectural Drafting CAD).
